Main and Haines Apartments are located in Newark, Delaware at the corner of Main Street and Haines Street, near the University of Delaware.
What types of apartments are available at Main and Haines?
We offer two- and three-bedroom floor plans at Main and Haines.
What lease terms are available at Main and Haines?
Standard lease terms are 12 months, but shorter or longer terms may be available. Please contact the leasing office for more details.
Can I pick my own roommates?
Yes, residents are able to choose their own roommates.
Can I have a co-signer on my lease?
All undergrad students must have a co-signer on their lease. For all other residents, co-signers may be needed on a case-by-case basis.
Are leases at Main and Haines individual or group leases?
Leases at Main and Haines are individual. Each resident signs their own lease and is only financially responsible for their portion of the rent.
Do my roommates and I need to submit more than one application?
Yes, every resident must submit their own application to be reviewed.

What hours are the leasing office open?
The leasing office is open Monday-Friday 9am -5pm, Saturday- 10am to 4pm.

Main and Haines is within walking distance of most University of Delaware academic buildings, facilities, and student centers. Our apartments are also just steps from several UD Shuttle Bus stops for convenient transportation to campus.
Is Main and Haines associated with the University of Delaware?
Main and Haines is not associated with the University of Delaware and is privately owned.
What transit options are available near Main and Haines?
Main and Haines is located near several bus stops for the UD Shuttle Bus and the Dart Bus. We are also conveniently located less than 2 miles from the Newark Train Station.
Is Main and Haines in a walkable neighborhood?
Main and Haines is located in Newark’s most walkable neighborhood, just off of Main Street near the city’s best dining, retail, and entertainment.
How can I pay my rent at Main and Haines?
Residents can pay their rent online or in person via certified check or money order. Move-in payments must be made via money order or certified check only.
Can I bring my pet?
Although we love our furry friends, Main and Haines does not allow pets. If you have a service animal, please contact the leasing office.
